I wrote this song about my town but it could be about any town. It could be about your town...where the hell did my history go?

Drove around this town today
Stopped and watched them tear another
Old building down today

All I used to know

In this wallpaper world

I see the same thing everywhere
No connection to the places
Seen as impeding their intention

A repetitional travesty
Just a wallpaper world

Everywhere I go all the places look the same
You can change the puzzle pieces ‘round, but the picture,
The picture doesn’t change

Time wields the tool
Marching on relentlessly, that’s
Always been the rule
Still, it seems so mindlessly, that it’s

All been redone
Til it’s all the same under the sun
Just a wallpaper world

Every place I go looks the same
Change pieces around, but the picture don't change in this
